Reed is a Lithuanian manufacturer devoted to the research and development of hi-end tonearms and turntables. Founded by designer Vidmantas Triukas, the company brings an unusually scientific approach to analog, treating every tonearm as an integrated mechanical, acoustical and electronic system.
That thinking shows in the detail. Reed designs around effective length, effective mass, moment of inertia, acoustic damping and wiring impedance, carefully calculating and testing every parameter rather than leaving it to chance. The acclaimed Reed 5T tonearm alone required 196 individual parts and more than 5,000 hours of design work, drawing on specialists across eleven countries.

The range covers precision tonearms such as the 5T, 5A and 2B, the Muse 3C and Muse 1C turntables, the Reed SF optical cartridge and a matching phono equaliser, along with a growing line of turntable accessories and a battery power supply. The work has been recognised with Red Dot, iF Design and German Design awards, and multiple Analog Grand Prix titles.
